My name is Kerry, and I live in Hertfordshire. I established Pet Mate in 2011 to put the love I have for pets into good use and since then I have never looked back. Ever since childhood I have always lived with pets of all types and personalities.

I believe that the love a pet receives is the love they reciprocate and that bond is life-changing and endless. I have known the love, laughter, and joy a pet gives but also the heart ache of their short little lives, so I understand the emotions and responsibility all pet care entails.

Pets are furry members of our families and through Pet Mate I do my upmost to nurture this relationship. Over the years, I have learned the skills, knowledge and experience to provide a tailored service to the nurturing requirement of each pet.

I know therefore what a cuddle means to your bunny, or snuggle means for your dog or a purr-fect hug means to your cat. So whatever your pets personality or needs, I will love them as if they were my own.

Meet Murphy

Murphy is my 3 year old Labrador retriever. He has lived with me and my family since adopting him as a young pup. Murphy has enriched our lives more than we could have imagined. He truly is a loving, intuitive and affectionate boy who just wants everyone to notice and love him.

He is a wonderful play-mate for other dogs, but also a respectful companion for those who prefer to have their own space. Murphy often joins in on the group walks, and our regular doggies would certainly miss him if he wasn't part of the stomp.

Murphy’s trustworthy friendly temperament means he can be walked with all dogs and he has the innate ability of encouraging less sociable dogs to be more confident. Murphy will share his food, toys, human attention and even give up his own bed so-to-be loved by all. Everyone needs a Murphy!

"Kerry looked after my 2 dogs duchess and Duke, 5 parrots Burt, Bilbo, Archie, Cyril and Jack, plus my tank of tropical fish for 2 weeks, and of course my home, in June. She did a wonderful job with all my variety of animals, especially my parrots which are very hard to look after. Its very difficult to find anyone with the knowledge that Kerry has with a wide variety of animals and someone whom is so caring and trustworthy to leave your family with."
